Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A helicopter soaring over a popular California beach unexpectedly started spinning out of control, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded online show the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging near the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters said five people were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Information on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
